The following is a list of student organizations that are not currently active. To reactivate any of these organizations, contact the Office of Student Engagement at studentengagement@chatham.edu.
ACCOUNTING CLUB
The purpose of the Accounting Club is to help students network with accounting professionals and learn more about the accounting profession.
American Institute of Graphic Arts (AIGA)
The purpose of the American Institute of Graphic Arts is to bring together all Chatham University students that have any kind of interest in art or design, at any level. We will focus not simply on visual art, but on recognizing how important design is to everyday life, realizing that design can be found everywhere, and understanding that design can be used to solve problems.
AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE (ASL) CLUB
ASL Club or American Sign Language club is a student organization designed for people of all skill sets: from those who speak the language to those who don't. During club meetings we will be learning how to sign in ASL, talking about the history of the language, and it's importance, as well have guest speakers.
Chatham University Developers Student Club
The purpose of the organization shall be to promote and foster interest in software development, computer programming, and related fields among Chatham University students.
Chatham University ESPORTS
The purpose of the organization shall be to provide a space for both competitive and casual gameplay under the Chatham name.
Chatham Green Team
The purpose of the organization shall be to teach the students of Chatham University sustainable practices and to propose environmentally friendly options campus wide.

Chatham Society of Physician Assistant Students
The purpose of the Student Society will be to serve as the official organization for the students, to promote academic achievement, clinical excellence, and Physician Assistant as a member of the health care delivery team.
Chatham Student Power
The purpose of the organization is to bring both awareness and motivation to students about current environmental and social justice issues by taking action in organizing campaigns and projects that advocate for change on campus and in the community.
Chatham University Music Club
The Chatham University Music Club presents an artistic approach that allows music majors and non-music majors alike to express and share their interest, creativity, and / or talent musically. The group will serve to enhance the musical spirit of the community, and provide opportunities for musical appreciation, study, and performance.
Chatham University Omicron Delta Kappa Circle
The purpose of this organization shall be to strengthen the Chatham community through student leadership and involvement on and off campus.
Chatham (Taylor’s Version)
The purpose of this organization shall be to start a Taylor Swift affiliated club. In this organization, we would talk about Taylor Swift and the positive impacts she has had on social justice movements. This would include her work with advocating for the younger generations to register to vote, the feminist movement, and LGBTQIA+ rights advocating. Furthermore, we would talk about Taylor’s songs and analyze the creative aspects of what she writes. Taylor’s discography is very meaningful to a lot of people and deserves to be talked about through an analytic lens. Taylor has positively impacted many lives in our generation and is beloved by all.
Climate Change Reality Campus Corps: Chatham University
Our mission is to catalyze a global solution to the climate crisis by making urgent action a necessity across every level of society. Activities and programs sponsored by this organization will keep with the organization’s stated objectives.
COMMUNICATION STUDENT ASSOCIATION OF CHATHAM
The purpose of the organization shall be to encourage the understanding of current theories and procedures in the practice of public relations, journalism, graphic design, and human communication to provide and promote a better understanding of the functions of Professional Communication disciplines and their values, to simulate and encourage professionalism through education, to apply the skill, creativities and energy of Communication to help solve social problems, to develop the individual abilities of its members, to provide students of public relations, journalism, graphic design, and communication with the opportunity to become acquainted not only with their peers but with professional practitioners as well, and to encourage students to adhere to the highest ideals and principles of the practice of strategic communication and to instill in them a professional attitude. Activities and programs sponsored by this organization will keep with the organization’s states objectives.
Cosplay Creators
The purpose of this organization shall be a way to express one’s creativity through Japanese anime cosplay culture.
CyberCougs!
The purpose of the Cyber Cougs! is to build a community within Chatham University that promote women’s education, participation, and leadership in the field of cybersecurity.
DAYS FOR GIRLS AT CHATHAM
The purpose of this organization is to educate students of Chatham University on menstrual health while preparing sustainable menstrual health solutions for girls in need.
Disability Awareness Committee (DAC)
The purpose of The DAC shall be to raise awareness of all disabilities through education programs and activities. Activities and programs sponsored by this organization will keep with The DAC’s stated objectives.
Education Club
The purpose of the organization shall be to help students gain a better understanding of the education field as well as helping to enrich the young community around the University. We will also advocate for quality public education, and promote networking and professionalism as well as being a voice for the education field.
The Environmental & Water Resources Institute (EWRI) Chatham Chapter
The Environmental & Water Resources Institute (EWRI) is an organization dedicated to advancing water sources and environmental solutions to achieve a sustainable future. The national organization is a large group of professionals who focus on areas such as: the environment, groundwater, surface water, hydraulics and waterways, irrigation and drainage, planning and management, urban water resources, water supply, wasterwater and stormwater, watershed, and domestic and international interdisciplinary issues. Chatham University's student chapter will supplement this expertise through activities and knowledge in the field of sustainability. The following specific areas are of particular interest for the student chapter" Green infrastructure and water resources, urban nature, climate resilience, partnership, policy and communities to enable sustainability, renewable energy and green building. Activities and programs sponsored by this organization will keep with the organization's objectives.
Fermentation Club
The Fermentation Club at Chatham is an opportunity to participate in and learn about fermenting all kinds of food and beverages. From Kombucha to Kimchi, we love to try new projects and are always open to new ideas and new members. We work in connection with the Eden Hall Farm as well as the Agroecology Garden for produce when available. An ongoing project for the club is creating fermented foods for sharing during campus community lunches.
Food Sovereignty Community Council
The Food Sovereignty Community Council facilitates student-led food sovereignty, inspired by Indigenous practices, by creating systems for distributing produce and processed products grown by students that are both culturally relevant and appropriate for the larger campus community at the Eden Hall and Shadyside campuses. Out other goals are to prioritize students’ relationship with the production spaces on Chatham University’s Eden Hall Campus by supporting the cultivation and caretaking of the land and increase student ease of access to fresh produce. Importantly, at the most basic level we want students to feel empowered to their right to food.
Girl Up
In alignment with Girl Up and United Nation’s Foundation’s mission (stated below), the Girl Up Club at Chatham University aims to empower others to get involved, teach their communities that girls matter and make sure that girls in developing countries are educated, healthy, safe, counters, and positioned to be the next generation of leaders. Girl Up is an innovative campaign of the United Nations Foundation. We give American girls the opportunity to become global leaders and channel their energy and compassion to raise awareness and funds for United Nations that help some of the world’s hardest-to-reach adolescent girls.
Graduate Psychology Student Council
The purpose of this organization shall be to collaborate with graduate psychology faculty, students, and alumni to develop support programming, social connections, fundraising efforts to enhance the education of graduate psychology students.
Graduates Go Green
The purpose of this organization shall be to provide an avenue for graduate students of Chatham University Eastside to discuss, brainstorm, promote, manage, and implement sustainability practices in conjunction with the activities and priorities of Chatham’s main campus.
Harry Potter Club
The purpose of the organization shall be to talk about the member's shared enjoyment of the Harry Potter series. Activities and programs sponsored by this organization will keep within the organization’s stated objectives.
Her Campus Chatham
The purpose of the Her Campus Chatham organization is to provide an online hub for Chatham’s woman by providing content that is both a resource and a source of entertainment, highlighting campus news, events, interesting, students, faculty, alumni, campus photos, fashion, lifestyle content, specifically tailored for woman at Chatham. Staff members will gain journalism, marketing, publicity, and digital media experience, all students will gain a new and fun online resource through this online publication.
Intellectual Disabilities of Data Analysis Team (IDDAT)
The purpose of the organization shall be to aid in improving the quality of life for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through the utilization and implementation of scientific methodology including research and publication of empirically gathered evidence, and community based initiatives which promote inclusion and equality.
International Interior Design Association
The purpose of the organization shall be to specifically offer students in the Interior Architecture program an opportunity to network with professionals in the industry, to gain knowledge about career path options, offer support for academic growth, help to foster relationships within the programs, and to overall grow their repertoire for the Interior Design world.

Meditation Club
The purpose of the organization shall be to spread awareness of the benefits of mindfulness and meditation, to hold mindfulness and meditation events on campus, and to create a calming and safe space to members.
Mental Health Club
The mental health club is a student led resource group for anyone on campus. Our goal is to provide a safe, low commitment space for folks to talk and learn about mental health. We understand the vast misconceptions, and aim to change people's perception about mental health. We look at mental health as a positive aspect of our lives, and work to understand it and use it to our advantage. We would love to see you at meetings!
MIS/DATA Analytics Club
The purpose of the MIS/Analytics Club shall be supporting MIS/Data Analytics majors and all students that are interested in IT or computer science topics by providing information, sponsoring activities and establishing a strong knowledge in this emerging field.
Multiple Sclerosis Awareness Club
The purpose of the organization shall be for students to provide support to students with loved ones suffering from multiple sclerosis. The organization will also participate in activities that raise awareness for MS Activities and programs sponsored by this organization will keep within the organization’s stated objectives.
Net Impact
To help members transform their careers into ones that make a positive “net impact” – benefiting not just the bottom line, but the community and planet too, by providing members with an array of opportunities that will: Empower graduate and undergraduate students to develop their professional skills and put their beliefs into action through positively impacting their surroundings, Enlarge students’ network with other like-minded individuals who have demonstrated their commitment to socially and environmentally responsible businesses, Provide resources and opportunities for members to learn about and connect to careers with a social and environmental impact.
The Outing Club
The purpose of the organization shall be to promote student engagement with the outdoors through activities such as hiking, biking, climbing, etc. and to create an environment for like-minded students to meet and plan trips. Activities and programs sponsored by this organization will keep with the organization’s stated objectives.
Philosophy Club
The purpose of the organization shall be to create a space in which students will be able to discuss and learn about philosophy in an organized manner. We will discuss all facets of philosophical thought, from classical philosophy to contemporary philosophy, and discuss the socio political and cultural applications of the aforementioned philosophies. Philosophy Club reserves the right to perform activities outside the realm of discussion such that these activities still abide by Chatham University rules and laws i.e., fundraising, service projects, etc.
Photography Club
The purpose of this organization shall be to further oneself in photography by exploring different types and styles of photography by using digital or film.
Pre-OT Club
The purpose of the organization shall be: provide a mentorship to current undergraduate students expressing a desire to learn about and/or apply to the MOT program at Chatham. As such, members of the club will provide an opportunity for Chatham undergraduates to interact with graduate students and provide information about the occupational therapy graduate program. Being a member of the Pre-OT club does not guarantee admission into the master of Occupational Therapy Program.
Pre-pt Club
The purpose of the organization shall be to 1) foster interest in physical therapy as a profession, 2) provide resources to students about preparation for and application to graduate programs in physical therapy, 3) engage in activities that are aligned with diversity, equity, and inclusion to strengthen the healthcare field, and 4) strengthen collaboration among students to foster more leaders in physical therapy.
Rad Grads
The purpose of this organization is to enhance the education of non-traditional students by helping foster new friendships, providing support, recognizing successes, and offering services such as networking events and personal growth workshops. Non-traditional students are defined as individuals who are returning to further their education after some years in the workforce, students who may be younger or older compared to the average student, students who are working part-time or full-time, students who are the first in their family to pursue a graduate degree, or students raising children.
Residence Hall Association (RHA)
The purpose of the organization shall be to support all residential students at Chatham University. Residence Hall Association is a student organization that amplifies the voice of students and advocates for the residents living on campus. We promote the residential experience on campus by providing a voice, vocal or non-vocal, and serve as a unified effort for all resident students, regardless of where they live. RHA fosters an inclusive residential environment for all students regardless of background, identity, or experience. Young Americans for Liberty
The Young Americans for Liberty’s (YAL) mission is to train, educate, and mobilize youth activists committed to “winning on principle”. Our goal is to cast the leaders of tomorrow and reclaim policies, candidates, and direction of our government.
